New photographs!

A quick update: I just uploaded a new photo album under ‘Portraits’ in my portfolio.  This past weekend I ventured out into the cold with my friend Bailey to take some shots.  We wandered around the State Hospital and then spent about 6 minutes at the marina until we felt frostbite setting in. :)

By the way, be sure when you’re looking through the photos, to look through all the pages in an album.  In many of them there are multiple albums.  Enjoy!

Thank you’s and looking ahead…

I just want to take a quick second to thank everyone for all your support and encouragement in this new photography venture, specifically starting with this website.  Your comments have gotten me so excited for the future of my photography.  So thank you very much, each and every one of you.

On another note, I have a little equipment update.  I am hoping, within the next four months or so, to be advancing to a digital SLR (single lens reflex – the opposite of a point-and-shoot) camera.  I’ll still use my film camera a lot, because I tend to be ‘old school’ with that arena, but there are so many more things I can do with a digital format, including taking more shots which leads to a better final product.  I have waited quite a while for this because I told myself that I wasn’t going to just get any old digital camera, but one that will be an investment and produce superior results.  I am so excited that I can hardly stand it!
